The La Verkin City Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at 6:00 p.m., in the La Verkin City Council Chambers, 111 South Main Street, La Verkin, Utah, during its regularly-scheduled meeting, to receive public input regarding a proposed Ordinance amending the Zoning Code and the Zoning Map of and for the City of LaVerkin:
· To create the proposed Transitional Commercial (TC) zone; and
· To make minor revisions or clarifications in the Zoning Code with regards to animals in the proposed Transitional Commercial (TC) zone and transportation-related uses in the Retail Commercial (COMM-R) zone; and
· To rezone—from residential to the proposed Transitional Commercial (TC) zone, or from one commercial zone [i.e., General Commercial (C), Retail Commercial (COMM-R), or Tourist/Resort Commercial (COMM-T)] to another such commercial zone—all such properties as are depicted in the attached map, which properties:
o Front on State Route 9 (SR-9),
o Front on State Route 17 (SR-17), from the intersection of SR-9 and SR-17, eastward, and/or
o Are located adjacent to, or in the vicinity of, the foregoing properties; and
· To amend the Zoning Map to reflect the new and/or revised boundaries of the aforementioned zones (as depicted in the attached map).
Copies of the Ordinance—as well as a map depicting, and specific written descriptions of, the affected parcels of property—are available for review in the office of the City Recorder at 435 North Main Street, LaVerkin, Utah.
